Environment and sustainability
At CDS we see protecting the environment as fundamental to the way we do business, so we continually examine the environmental impact of our activities and those of our suppliers.
Our policy, together with our compliance to the requirements of ISO 14001 and environmental legislation, all help create a sustainable environment for staff, customers and suppliers.
We have set corporate goals, developed a long-term strategy and set targets that drive continual improvement of our environmental management procedures. Our aim is to become a completely carbon neutral company by 2015.
By turning words into action, demonstrating our commitment to making a difference, by delivering our services in an environmentally friendly way, we will improve our business performance particularly in the areas of:
- publishing activities
- waste management
- energy and water management
- supplier selection and management
- distribution activities
We ensure that our employees work in accordance with the best business ethical standards and environmental laws and regulations.
From 2010 onwards we will be raising funds and sponsoring a sustainability charity.
