During the first six months of the contract, working in partnership with Middlesex University, CDS achieved a headline cost saving of 31% across print and reprographic spend, while at the same time protecting and enhancing the university’s brand and introducing measures to reduce its carbon footprint.
Steve Knight, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Director of Corporate Services at Middlesex University commented, “The Executive team at Middlesex University recognised that Print Services needed to change and wrote a specific ITT asking for change. Of the companies that applied, only CDS understood what change may look like for us, and I remain confident that CDS can deliver that change for Middlesex University. We have already seen a benefit in cost rationalisation, which is providing other areas of opportunity within the contract for CDS to explore. I am confident that we have a market leading Print Services model that other Universities could benefit from.”
Barbara Goldsmith, Deputy Head of Contracts at Middlesex University said: “Working with CDS has been both constructive and professional. They are keen to work with the university and to deliver the efficiencies and services of their offering. It is a respectful relationship from both parties perspective and I look forward to continuing to work with the CDS team for the duration of this contract. I am convinced that the current shape of print services delivery will change considerably over the next few years and that CDS is the vehicle to drive that shape for us.”
