For over 10 years we have researched and developed specialist accessible format services to make information more accessible to more people.

CDS Easy Read uses a combination of bespoke illustrations and simple, clear words to communicate with audiences including:

• people with learning disabilities
• people with low English literacy
• people for whom English is not their first language

Reading text alongside the illustrations helps the audience to understand the document. The text and style of illustration is appropriately matched to the target audience.

Users praise the clarity of the illustrations, the layouts and the way text and illustrations are combined.
