Electronic Survey Tool

THE OBJECTIVE

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Housing Division wanted to carry out a survey of Local Authority Housing Benefit staff, to gain important feedback on DWP communications and publications. They were working to a tight deadline and needed a cost-effective solution that was quick to deploy.

HOW THE OBJECTIVE WAS ACHIEVED

We provided a fully managed service using our online survey tool, eSurvey. DWP Housing Division sent their questionnaire to CDS and a list of staff who were to receive it. We then:

added the questionnaire to the eSurvey system;
allowed DWP to test and approve the survey before distribution;
distributed the survey to 500 recipients via email

Our eSurvey system automatically collected and collated responses, enabling us to quickly provide a detailed report of the results which were displayed using graphical charts. We also provided a full output of responses for import into Excel spreadsheet.
