EHFCN web based information solution
THE CLIENT European Healthcare Fraud and Corruption Network (EHFCN) SERVICES
THE BRIEF The EHFCN was created to coordinate and advance work to counter healthcare fraud and corruption across Europe. The EHFCN is a not-for-profit organisation, based in Brussels. It is a membership based organisation and is financed through subscription fees. The EHFCN required a secure website through which information could be shared between subscribers. It was agreed at the organisation’s 2005 conference that the website would be a key selling point for membership of the organisation. EHFCN chose CDS because the company met the requirements, showed that it could deliver within tight timescales and EHCFN was impressed with the overall look and design of other CDS websites. THE SOLUTION CDS designed and built a public facing site for EHFCN to show the work being undertaken to counter healthcare fraud and corruption across Europe. CDS built a secure extranet to enable members to share and exchange information on countering healthcare fraud and corruption. The extranet is one of the main benefits of becoming a member of the organisation. CDS implemented its proprietary CMS to enable the EHCFN team to make changes to the public and secure sites easily and timely. THE RESULT The project was implemented in April 2006. The public facing site was delivered in August 2006 and the extranet in September 2006. The website is now always up-to-date with the latest information. The website is multi-lingual and easy to manage using the CMS. Pages created in English are automatically created in the language variant and an administrator is automatically prompted (through workflow) to seek translation of the page content. The homepage imports an external news feed and information from the extranet. Authorized network members can easily access information and documentation. Applications on the extranet, like the discussion forum, foster communication. The extranet also allows authorised users to upload documents, corruption indicators and case studies. EHFCN had the following to say, “CDS has been flexible, accommodating and receptive to our needs. They have also improved the knowledge of our team through training, patience and simplifying technical terms and processes.”

HOW THE OBJECTIVE WAS ACHIEVED We provided a solution based on CDS Content Manager, which is simple to manage and quick to implement.
