CDS supports St George’s Crypt Christmas Donation Appeal
Here at CDS, we believe no one should have to be homeless or rough sleeping on our streets. So, this year we have chosen to support Leeds based Charity, St George’s Crypt, for our Christmas Donation Appeal.
After three weeks of planning, collecting donations and a bake sale that revealed Master Chef like talents in our staff, we dropped off our staff donation of £700 in cash, clothes and food at St George's Crypt. Watch the movie below to find out more about the charity’s valuable work.
St George’s Crypt provides vital support for the homeless in Leeds, as well as providing services to Leeds General Infirmary and St James’ hospitals.

We recently arranged for Christine Lane from St George’s Crypt to come into our office and talk about the great work of the charity and explain how our support will benefit the homeless in Leeds.
After visiting our office Christine said: “Thank you to CDS for selecting St George’s Crypt for their Christmas Donation Appeal. We rely largely on donations and the support of our community to help us deliver essential services to those people who are homeless or rough sleeping in our city. Your support will help us ensure we have the essential supplies this Christmas to give to those people who are most vulnerable.”
The charity relies heavily on donations and has identified clothes and essential supplies as items that we all could provide. These include:
- Sugar! Kilos of sugar are used every day in their kitchens and in the outreach, work they do in delivering hot drinks to the rough sleepers.
- Underwear (for both men and women) in size small.
- Jogging bottoms (for both men and women) in size 28-32 (small) for men and size 8-10 (small) for women.
- Socks, for both men and women.
- T-shirts, for both men and women.
In addition to donating clothes and essential items, CDS staff are planning a Christmas raffle to raise extra money.
CDS Managing Director, Mark Gair said: “No one should have to be homeless or rough sleeping in any of our cities so to support the charity in helping Leeds City centre tackle this issue is really important, especially at this time of year. We are delighted to support St George’s Crypt in raising money for the Christmas donation appeal.”
At CDS we hope to help make a difference to those people who are homeless and vulnerable in Leeds and spread a little warmth this Christmas.
Why inclusive communications are important
Inclusivity simply means no-one gets left behind. No-one’s excluded or marginalised.
