Why we’ve been shortlisted for a Digital Impact Award
Our entry with ResilienceDirect in the category best digital communications as part of an integrated campaign was shortlisted for a Digital Impact Award.
Now in its ninth year, the Digital Impact Awards sets the European industry-wide benchmark in digital stakeholder engagement.
Paul Meersman, Head of Marketing at CDS said, “We’re delighted that our work with ReslienceDirectTM has been shortlisted. It’s recognition for our dedicated team consistently delivering innovation, challenging the art of the possible and transforming communications. Delivering this remarkable solution could only have been achieved through our close partnership with the Cabinet Office Resilience Direct team.”
“We’re hugely proud to have built a solution that is making a positive difference, protecting and saving lives across the UK.”
Since 2014, CDS have worked with ReslienceDirectTM, part of The Cabinet Office to deliver Collaborate, an application that underpins an online private ‘network’ which enables civil protection practitioners to work together – across geographical and organisational boundaries – during the preparation, response and recovery phases of an event or emergency.
It is now a central pillar for Major Incident management. There are over 30,000 active users, with access to more than 230,000 documents, across 5,600 Communities.
Nearly 3,000 Incidents have been managed or reviewed with Collaborate, including the most devastating and dreadful to affect the UK. Recently, the tool has played a key role in the Grenfell Tower, Parsons Green and Manchester bombing incidents. Every affected organisation acted on a single version of the truth and with a single purpose during a truly devastating time.
Following the 2018 redesign, UX overhaul and launching enhanced functionality, new user registrations are up to over 600 per month.
In the award entry, Luana Avagliano, Head of ReslienceDirectTM said: “CDS have been an integral part of the ReslienceDirectTM service from inception to the latest changes. Supporting the UK’s Resilience Community to enable collaboration. An awesome partner and helping the keep the UK Safe.”
CDS has also been shortlisted as best Large Digital Agency of the Year in the UK Agency Awards.
