CDS wins a place on a major NHS framework
CDS is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a place on the NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) Clinical and Digital Information Systems (CDIS) framework contract.
We have been awarded a place on the following lots:
- 3.2: Hybrid mail and related communication services
- 3.3: External print and related services
The anticipated spend for this framework is approximately £800 million and is a 4+1 year contract.
NHS paperless by 2020
The governments aim is to improve the use of technology throughout the NHS in England. The aim is to create a paperless service by 2020 that will be more efficient for patients and clinicians, ultimately providing faster diagnoses and treatment.
More than £4bn has been set aside for areas such as electronic patient records and online appointments, prescriptions and consultations.
CDS will provide print to digital transformation by supplying a Hybrid mail service to the NHS as well as significantly reducing costs for NHS organisations through the consolidation and management of standard printed items through a proven print management strategy.
The Hybrid mail service will help reduce paper usage by giving NHS LPP Trusts the option to send out appointment letters etc by email, SMS message or print. Through implementing this service effectively, DNA’s (Did Not Attend’s), which is a constant issue for the NHS, can be reduced significantly.
About the NHS LPP
The NHS LPP is a membership organisation, founded and funded by NHS organisations. They work with their members, to support the NHS to make the most of its purchasing power to maximise investment in patient care. This helps trusts deliver the highest quality services and ensures value for money.
There are currently over 90 trusts and organisations including Bart’s Health NHS Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas. These trusts are mainly based in south of England and London but are also in Birmingham, Brighton and County Durham.
Why we were awarded the contract
CDS was awarded the contract based on our work with customers such as Public Health Wales Screening Division, Northamptonshire County Council and the Metropolitan Police.
The evaluation process was exhaustive and focussed on CDS’s key strengths including customer service. 98% of our customers rate us as either a good or excellent.
