Local government & public sector approved supplier

Services for Local Government

We are the contracted supplier to 14 Local Authorities. Working with Local Government is part of our DNA.

We’re a Crown Commercial Service (CCS) approved supplier, enabling the UK public sector, including Local Government, Health, Devolved Administrations, Education and Not for Profit organisations to make substantial savings by using any of a number procurement routes to buy our services.

Benefits of working with CDS

All Local Authorities face the challenges posed by decreasing budgets. Reducing cost is an imperative. Channel shift from print to digital offers significant cost savings, efficiency improvements and more flexible and timely service delivery. However just switching off print and transitioning communications to digital is a very crude approach and risks alienating or excluding your audience

At CDS we have developed tools and strategies to guide cost saving activities while protecting services. We have over 20 years of experience working with large public sector organisations and we gave been the contracted supplier to several of the Local Authorities below for more than 10 years.

Reasons to contact us

We’re contacted daily by government organisations for a variety of reasons, out-with current projects, contracts and work.

Typical questions and answers include:

Q: I’m unsure of the best procurement route and need services quickly without the cost and time involved in going through a full OJEU tendering process. How can I procure your services?

A: We’re on a number of approved Government Framework contracts and we’ll help you find the most appropriate route.

Q: Technology and solutions change quickly. I think we want X solution and need to go out to tender but we’re in the early stages and need advice as to whether X really is the best solution.

A: We are more than happy to provide advice and consultancy in the appropriate circumstances.

Q: We have a: digital / Business Intelligence / communications / branding / marketing / document management / application development etc project and our team needs expert support.

A: Our experts would be delighted to take your call and discuss your requirements. Our sales and account management team take a consultative approach and our aim is to help you succeed and ensure we deliver a better service to your customers.

I felt from the outset that CDS was used to working with ‘people like us’ in the public sector. They have brought new ideas to the table on how we can save money by standardising as much as possible and cutting down on bespoke printing. I have come to view them as a useful virtual addition to our in-house team with expertise I can quickly call on when a new challenge emerges.
