Approved print & digital supplier to the NHS
We chose CDS to undertake our brand refresh exercise due to their technical expertise and know how. With 14 disparate customer groups and the need to shift to a multi-channel approach, their research and analysis provided the evidence to underpin a successful brand refresh which is helping us to deliver against our communication objectives.

Case Study: Public Health Wales NHS Trust
Contracted through The Welsh National Procurement Service All Wales Printing Services Framework, CDS is contracted to provide print management and mailing services for Public Health Wales screening services.
The provision of efficient communications with those who require screening is critical to the effective running of the services. Ensuring that patient’s appointments are booked on a timely basis and ‘Did Not Attends’ (DNAs) are minimized through the mailing of appointment and reminder letters to patients is essential to maximize the uptake in the individual programmes and overall efficiency of the Welsh NHS resources involved.
The service covers a number of departments including, Breast, Bowel & Cervical cancer screening, Diabetic Eye and Abdominal Aortic Aneurism testing services.
CDS are contracted to handle Appointment, Reminder and some Results letter mailings as well as the mailing out of complex Bowel testing kits managed through an individual barcode based tracking process. The total volume of mailed items is in excess of one million per annum.
The process involves the receipt and verification of data from NHS systems, the use of hybrid mail systems, the formatting of multiple letter texts and the inserting of selective inserts. The entire print and mail process is delivered through both a third party and CDS internal resources resulting in the final output of cost maximized sorted postal mailpacks.
