Benefits of CDS supported digital transformation

CDS deliver public access programme communication and information solutions that engage the public; free up internal resources; reduce cost; and provide a solid foundation for digital transformation.

Our services include internal intranets, cross-force online collaboration, online and printed design and communications through to online crime reporting and call center to public web and social-media connectivity.

Key statistics achieved for our policing customers include:

  • 65% reduction on the time spent by officers on triaging inbound reports.
  • 70% of road traffic collisions are now reported online where online crime reporting has been made available.
  • 25% increase in online reporting, instead of a call centre (in 6 months of live use).
  • 51,000 crimes or incidents reported online within first 6 months of deployment.
CDS built a responsive website for the Met Police

Case Study: Metropolitan Police Service

We launched a new ground breaking Agile project to provide digital services to support the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS).

The new website delivers online services and direct two-way digital communications with the public, to become London’s (if not the world’s) largest operational police station - providing localised and specific content to 7.2 million members of the public.

In October 2017, the Metropolitan Police's new website won Best Public Sector Website, App or Campaign at The Drum DADI Awards and won Silver for Best Use of Digital from the Public Sector at the Digital Impact Awards.

CDS delivered a digital workplace and intranet for the Met Police

Case Study: Delivering a collaborative Digital Workplace for the Metropolitan Police Force

Digital transformation is essential to the Metropolitan Police Service, to enable a modern and efficient policing service. Their Intranet is the ‘homepage’ platform that connects a mobile and disparate workforce.

In October 2017, the Metropolitan Police Intranet project won 'Highly Commended' in the Best use of digital to an internal audience category at the Digital Impact Awards.
