AI Readiness Assessment

Know what AI can actually do for you, before you spend money building it.

A short, honest assessment that tells you where AI is worth your time, where it isn't, and what to do first.

What it is

AI is everywhere and nowhere. The board's asking, your team's curious, and every vendor has a pitch. What's missing is a clear, grounded view of what AI could actually do for your organisation, and what it would take to do it safely.

The AI Readiness Assessment gives you that in three to five weeks. It's independent, built on your real workflows and data rather than generic use cases, and it's opinionated: you leave knowing what to build first and why, not with a list of possibilities and no view.

Who it's for

Technology and operations leaders under pressure to move on AI who want to act deliberately, not experimentally — especially where there's board-level interest but no clear technical owner yet.

What we look at

  • Opportunity: What AI could realistically do in your context, grounded in how your people actually work
  • Data readiness: Whether your data can support those opportunities, and what it'd take to close the gaps
  • Platform fit: What your current estate can support, and where the right tools sit
  • Governance and risk: The regulatory, ethical and security questions that apply, which matters most in the regulated environments we work in
  • Priorities: A clear recommendation on what to build first, in what order, and why

What you walk away with

  • An AI Readiness Report, written for a senior, non-technical audience
  • A prioritised shortlist of your top two or three use cases, with the data each one needs
  • A recommended first build, detailed enough to take straight into a budget conversation
  • A sequenced 6–12 month roadmap

Fixed-scope, fixed-price, and you keep all of it, whether or not you go further with us.

Why CDS

We build AI, we don't just talk about it. Our engineers build working proofs of concept on whatever platform fits the problem: Azure AI, the Cloudflare Developer Platform, or another stack, not slideware. We're honest about where the technology is, too: we'll tell you what's proven, what's still early, and what isn't worth doing yet. That's the job of a good advisor, guiding you to the right answer, not the one that sells the most follow-on work.

And when the assessment points to a clear first build, we can prove it fast with a working proof of concept — the pattern that's worked for our clients time and again.
