Another great awards year for CDS in 2018
Last year we won six major awards and in 2018 we continued to win more including a Global Sourcing Association Award and a Digital Impact Award.
We’re extremely proud to have won the Transition Project of the Year award at the Global Sourcing Association (GSA) UK Awards 2018, for our digital transformation project with the Metropolitan Police Service.
The award recognises the success of the digital transformation project we are undertaking with the Met Police and our project partners, to fundamentally change the way the public can access and engage with police services.
We also won a Digital Impact Award for Best Digital Communications, for our work with ResilienceDirectTM (Cabinet Office). CDS worked with ResilienceDirectTM, to deliver Collaborate, an integrated digital communication platform that underpins an online private ‘network’ which enables everyone involved in civil protection to work together – across geographical and organisational boundaries – during the preparation, response and recovery phases of an event or emergency.
Nearly 3,000 Incidents have been managed or reviewed with Collaborate, including the most devastating and dreadful to affect the UK. Collaborate has proven vital to saving lives during the worst of emergencies, such as Grenfell Tower, Parsons Green and Manchester bombing incidents, and the Pennine moorland fires, during the summer of 2018.
Having won a Drum Dadi award last year we were delighted to again be shortlisted for the Drum Dadi Award. The Drum Dadi judges also recognised the brilliant work we have done with the Cabinet Office and ResilienceDirectTM.
In September, we were shortlisted as Large Digital Agency of the Year at the UK Agency Awards. This follows on from May 2017, where we were named Best Large Digital Agency at the Prolific North Awards and we recently learned that we are shortlisted as Large Digital Agency of the Year in the Northern Digital Awards 2019. So, three years and three times up for Large Digital Agency of the year in three different sets of awards. Fingers crossed for the results of the latest nomination. We’ll find out if we’ve won Large Digital Agency of the year again on 31 January 2019.
