Borough of Poole engage CDS as their Print and Design services provider
Borough of Poole has appointed CDS as a strategic provider to deliver print and design services.
The requirements also include bulk copying, the fulfilment of election documentation and support for migration of printed documents to digital channels.
The main aims of the contract are to reduce costs, improve efficiency and ensure a consistent high quality service, whilst providing support for the local economy.
The Borough of Poole was made a unitary authority in 1997 and represents a population of 155,000 citizens. Poole is a large coastal town and seaport and the second largest settlement in the county of Dorset. The Council has 4,000 staff and delivers a wide range of local authority services.
CDS is currently the contracted supplier to 14 Local Authorities and also provides services to numerous government agencies and blue light organisations.
As a Crown Commercial Service (CCS) approved supplier, the UK public sector, including Local Government, Health, Devolved Administrations, Education and Not for Profit organisations can make substantial savings by outsourcing to CDS through any of a number easy to use procurement routes, that do not require a full OJEU tender process.
